From 2007 - 2008 he was Operations Research Analyst for Goff Capital Partners developing econometric CMBS default and loss models, standardizing and streamlining their structured finance credit enhancement models, and designed their RMBS/CMBS database.
From 2004 - 2006 he was Manager for GMAC Commercial Holdings' Capital Corp, later Capmark Capital, developing economic capital models for Capmark Capital's $3.5 billion property fund of funds. In 2006 he was part of the initial team discussing risk capital needs with KKR. He did a 3-month stint with Military Housing as an investment banking analyst while their analyst was on maternity leave.
As Head of Corporate Planning, he invented the '7-hour' strategy that enabled Westport to survive and thrive in the shadow of the largest container port in the world, the Port Authority of Singapore. As Lead Consultant for Coopers & Lybrand, he formulated Unilever's Demand Driven Inventory Management for $100 million operation. This reduced the time to respond to the market from a maximum of 54-days to a maximum of 3-days and increased market share by 0.5% within 6 months of implementation in the very highly competitive detergents market.
